1st AMVETS POST #17 Golf Scramble To Benefit Erie County Honor Flight will be held on Sunday, August 6th, 2017. Registration will be from 7-7:45 am and Shotgun Start at 8:00 am. Location will be Mills Creek Golf Course, 1933 Mills Street, Sandusky, Ohio. Cost is $30.00 per person pre-registered or $35.00 Day of Event. It will be a Scramble Format with 4 player teams. You must have at least 2 AMVETS Members per team!! Awards will be given for Top Teams & Hole Prizes. Lunch will be provided at the AMVETS following the Scramble.
To Anyone that has bought a Key Card for $10.00, but can no longer use the card for any reason. You can make arrangements with Carolyn Thomsen to return the card and get a refund on your $10.00.
****SON’S NEWS & EVENTS****
The Son’s & Regulars would like to thank everyone who bought a ticket to the Reverse Raffle and also a special thank you to all the people who sold tickets and volunteered their time to help at the event, without all of you the Raffle would not have been a success. Commander Eric Scherer was able to raise $3,500.00 through donations for his special project during his tenure as State Commander. And with the profits from the Reverse Raffle of $3,740.00, we were able to present a check to the America’s Freedom Lodge for $7,240.00. Everyone should be very proud of themselves for a job well done. One other very special thank you goes to “High Speed” Nick Sarr for all of his time and effort put into this project, without his leadership and knowledge this raffle would not of gone as smooth as it did. ****AUXILIARY NEWS & EVENTS****
We are currently taking dues for 2018 and they are $35.00 and your receipt would be your temporary proof of membership until cards go out in October.
There will NOT be a Bake Sale in August and they will resume in the fall.
AMVETS REGULAR’S, AUXILIARY, SON’S & RIDER’S Will be hosting a Benefit for #MISSION 22 On Saturday, September 16th, 2017. It will be Open To The Public and we will be offering an ALL-U-CAN-EAT BBQ BUFFET from 5pm to 9 pm for $15.00 per person. $5.00 from every dinner will be donated to #MISSION 22. We will have Raffles & 50/50’s and Rutherford County Band will be playing from 8 pm to 11 pm. #MISSION 22 GOAL: They fought for us. And now we must fight for them. Commit a small portion of your time to help Veterans in need in your community. It could be the difference between losing a hero and saving a life. Proceeds will be donated to #MISSION 22 to help veterans with PTSD. Pre Sale Buffet Tickets are available at the Bar.
